I have to inform the House that the Committee of Selection has nominated the following seven Senators to serve on the Joint Committee to consider the working of the Betting Act, 1926, and to report what amendments of the existing law relating to the business of book-making are desirable. The following are the names of the Committee of Selection:— Senators Bennett, Foran, McGuinness, MacLoughlin, Sir Bryan Mahon, Molloy, and Parkinson. I move the adoption of the report.
