The following motion stands in the Order Paper in my name: "That, in view of the desperate position of agriculture following the unfavourable harvest, in the opinion of the Seanad steps should be taken by the Executive for the immediate provision of employment or relief for those engaged in agriculture." I ask the indulgence of the House and the Chair to postpone the motion for a week. I am not ready to proceed, as I understood that Senator Connolly's motion would occupy greater time this evening.
