I understand that the Dáil will probably rise this evening for the Christmas recess, and accordingly I think it desirable that any Bills on to-day's Order Paper which have been or may be amended in this House should be given priority, so that the appropriate messages may reach the Dáil as early as possible. I would accordingly ask the House to take the following items first, in the order named: — Nos. 8, 9, 1, 4, 5 and 11.
