As regards the adjournment, if the Land Purchase (Guarantee Fund) Bill, 1935, is decided by the Committee of Privileges to be a Money Bill, the period of 21 days in regard to it expires at midnight on Wednesday, 1st January. In those circumstances, I would suggest to the House that I should summon a meeting of the Seanad for Monday, the 30th December, or Tuesday, the 31st December, for the purpose of taking the Second Stage of the Bill, and also a motion to take all the stages.
If the Committee of Privileges decide that the Bill is not a Money Bill, the question will not arise and the House will stand adjourned until Tuesday, 14th January.
I take this opportunity to wish all Senators a happy Christmas.
The Seanad adjourned at 5.20 p.m.
