I have to announce that Mr. Thomas J. O'Connell has been selected by the Taoiseach to fill the vacancy in the membership of Seanad Eireann caused by the death of Mr. Thomas W. Delany. Mr. O'Connell has, accordingly, been elected to fill the vacancy to which the resolution of the Seanad of the 4th December, 1940, has reference.
Senator O'Connell, who was introduced by Senator Cummins, took his seat.
