I have received notice from Senator Baxter that, on the motion for the adjournment of the House this evening, he will direct attention to the making of the order prohibiting the export of store cattle to Britain, and will inquire of the Minister for Agriculture the motive or necessity for the imposition of such an order; and, further, will ask for information as to how long the order is to be in operation, or when it is likely to be withdrawn.
I am accepting that notice. The matter will be raised on the conclusion of to-day's business, but not later than 9 p.m.
