I have notice from Senator Katharine Bulbulia that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:
That building would commence on the new primary school at St. Paul's, Lisduggan, Waterford.
I also received notice from Senator Joe O'Toole of the following matter:
The necessity for the Minister for Health, in view of the grave hardship being imposed on the community, to enter into immediate negotiations directly with the junior hospital doctors.
I regard the matter raised by Senator Bulbulia as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and it will be taken at the conclusion of business. I regret I have to disallow Senator Joe O'Toole's matter as it is repetitious of last night's debate on the Adjournment.
I am deeply concerned about a matter raised on the Order of Business yesterday morning, Senator Joe Doyle's point regarding the division bells. A meeting of the Committe on Procedure and Privileges was held yesterday afternoon at which a directive was given to the OPW to install the said bells in 88 and 89 Merrion Square before next Wednesday, 17 June.
