Vol. 118 No. 12

Business of Seanad.

An Leas-Chathaoirleach

I have notice from Senator Brian O'Shea that, on the Motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The problems arising for a certain company in proposals of the Department for the Environment in relation to the EC Directive on Containers for Beverages.

I also received notice from Senator Philip Hogan of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to examine the serious consequences that her proposed change in the pupil-teacher ratio will have on the pupils and staff of Tullow community school, County Carlow.

I also received notice from Senator Paul Bradford of the following matter:

The need for funding to be provided from the national lottery to the community development association, Muintir na Tíre.

I regard the matters raised by Senators O'Shea, Hogan and Bradford as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senator O'Shea's motion and it will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senators Hogan and Bradford may give notice for another day of the matter they wish to raise.
