Vol. 119 No. 12

Request under Standing Order 29.

I have notice from Senator Bradford regarding a motion which he wishes to raise under Standing Order 29. I now call on Senator Paul Bradford.

I wish to move a motion for the adjournment of the Seanad on a specific and important matter of public interest requiring urgent consideration, the matter being the continued controversy over the rod licence issue particularly in view of today's Government decision.

I have given careful consideration to the matter raised by you. I consider that it is a matter contemplated by Standing Order 29 but I regret that I have to rule it out of order.
