Vol. 123 No. 7

Business of Seanad.

An Leas-Chathaoirleach

I have notice from Senator Liam Cosgrave that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matters:

(1) The present reduced Garda levels in the Dún Laoghaire — South Dublin area with the inherent implications for crime prevention.

(2) The proposed take-over of Switzers with the inherent danger of job losses.

I also received notice from Senator Joe Costello of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to fulfil her commitment to the development of a new school in North Clondalkin for the students of St. Kevin's Community College who are in temporary accommodation.

I regard the matters raised by Senators Cosgrave and Costello as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senator Cosgrave's first matter and it will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senators Cosgrave and Costello may give notice on another day of the matter they wish to raise.
