Request Under Standing Order 29.
I wish to move a motion for the Adjournment of the Seanad on a specific and important matter of public interest requiring urgent consideration. The matter is the lack of an adequate supply of vaccine to deal with the pending flu epidemic.
I have decided that the motion is covered by the Standing Order and I ask Senators who support the request to rise in their places.
Five or more Senators stood.
The debate will take place at the conclusion of business. In view of my acceptance of the motion, the matter to be raised by Senator Hussey on the Adjournment cannot be taken today.
