Vol. 125 No. 14

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Joe Costello that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to keep St. Garvan's Vocational School, Dublin 1, open until a new second level school for the children of the north inner city is constructed in Sean McDermott Street.

I also received notice from Senator Shane Ross of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment to hold a public inquiry into any proposed infill and housing development at West Pier, Dún Laoghaire.

I also received notice from Senator Mary Jackman of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to confer official sanction on Kilfinan Centre, County Limerick.

I also received notice from Senator David Norris of the following matter:

Following the recent resolution tabled at the European Parliament, the need for the Minister for Foreign Affairs to take an active interest in the case of Raoul Wallenberg.

I regard the matters raised by Senators Costello, Ross, Jackman and Norris as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected the matter raised by Senator Costello and it will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senators Ross, Jackman and Norris may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
