Vol. 128 No. 1

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Haughey that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment to give sanction to Dublin Corporation to increase the speed and pace of the refurbishment works currently being carried out in Darndale, Dublin 17, under the remedial works scheme.

I also received notice from Senator Neville of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to fulfil her commitment to construct a second level school at Rathkeale, County Limerick.

I also received notice from Senator Raftery of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment to take steps to remove dead and dangerous trees in public places, particularly those along the roadsides.

I also received notice from Senator Doyle of the following matter:

The urgent need for a paediatric unit at Wexford General Hospital.

I also received notice from Senator Ross of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Marine to hold a public inquiry into any proposed infill and housing development at West Pier, Dún Laoghaire.

I regard the matters raised by Senators Haughey, Neville, Raftery, Doyle and Ross as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senator Haughey's matter and it will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senators Neville, Raftery, Doyle and Ross may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
