Before I deal with the Order of Business I want to inform the House that the Committee on Procedure and Privileges has given the go-ahead to the televising of Seanad proceedings, commencing on the first sitting day after the Easter recess. The trial period which commenced in December 1990 has proved extremely helpful and it is agreed that Members now feel at ease with the presence of cameras in the Chamber. The Committee on Procedure and Privileges will be meeting next Tuesday with Miss Pat O'Grady, Broadcasting Manager, and with Mr. Peter Ennis to have a final discussion on the matter and, if necessary they may circulate any beneficial suggestions that come to light.
