Vol. 136 No. 16

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Roche that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Marine to make provisions to address the problem of coastal erosion in County Wicklow.

I also received notice from Senator Enright of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to carry out improvements on an extension in Clonmacnoise national school, County Offaly.

I also received notice from Senator Ross of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Enterprise and Employment to carry out an immediate investigation into the life threatening explosion at Balleece Quarry in Rathdrum, County Wicklow and to suspend its operation until appropriate safety measures have been put in place.

I regard the matters raised by Senators Roche, Enright and Ross as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senators Roche's and Enright's matters and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senator Ross may give notice on another day of the matters he wishes to raise.
