Vol. 139 No. 5

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator O'Kennedy that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Enterprise and Employment to investigate the failure of petrol companies to make standard or premium grade unleaded petrol widely available to the public.

I have also received notice from Senator Ormonde of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to urge the UCD authorities to redress the situation regarding exemptions for Business and Legal Studies in Blackhall Place and the King's Inns, as the students involved undertook this course on the understanding that the exemptions were or would be available.

I have also received notice from Senator Fahey of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to outline the deliberations of the joint working group, comprised of representatives of the Western Health Board and his Department, to consider the short and medium-term development requirements for all services at University College Hospital, Galway.

I regard the matters raised as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senators O'Kennedy's and Ormonde's matters and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senator Fahey may give notice on another day of the matter he wishes to raise.
