I have notice from Senator McGennis that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:
The need for the Minister for Education to list those post primary schools and their enrolment numbers in the Republic which have more than one ex-quota guidance officer authorised by the Department and/or the vocational education committee and to indicate the provisions she intends making to ensure adequate guidance and counselling personnel in post-primary schools of 900 to 1,100 day pupils considering that the Department's regulations authorise one full-time ex-quota teacher in a school of 500 plus enrollees.
I regard the matter raised as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and it will be taken at the conclusion of business.
