Vol. 142 No. 4

Business of Seanad.

I have received notice from Senator Ross that, on the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Marine to outline the up-to-date position regarding the proposed marina for Greystones, County Wicklow.

I have received notice from Senator McGennis of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to make a statement regarding the inability of a child (details supplied) to secure a place in a special school for the past year and a half; the action she intends to take to ensure that this child's right to education, as provided for in the Constitution, is provided.

I have also received notice from Senator Neville of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment to immediately grant funding to Limerick County Council to alleviate the disasterous situation of the regional and county roads.

I have also received notice from Senator O'Toole of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to make provision from the post-primary building budget to support Cáirde Colaiste Ide, in Dingle in their proposal to retain Coláiste Íde in operation as an all-Irish girls boarding school.

I regard the matters raised as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have today selected Senators Ross's and McGennis's matters and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. The other Senators may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
