Vol. 152 No. 2

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Henry that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Agriculture and Food to outline his plans to prevent the continued eutrophication of rivers and lakes in Ireland.

I have also had notice from Senator O'Dowd of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to outline his Department's response to the significantly high death rates from heart disease in females, respiratory disease in males and females, and cancer of the trachea bronchus lung in males in County Louth as evidenced by the mortality profile for County Louth 1991-5 as published by the Central Statistics Office.

I regard the matters raised by Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business.
