Vol. 154 No. 6

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Avril Doyle that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Agriculture and Food to address the concerns of the Dublin Horse Owners' Association about the lack of implementation of the Government's recommendations regarding local horse projects.

I have also received notice from Senator Finneran of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation to give urgent and favourable consideration to the provision of substantial financial support to the National Community Games Movement.

I have also received notice from Senator Ridge of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform to take immediate steps to ensure that young children are not endangered when accompanying their parents or guardians who are selling the "Big Issue" magazine at major traffic intersections in Dublin.

I have also received notice from Senator Connor of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Foreign Affairs to review our bilateral aid agreement with Zambia in view of the anti-democratic trends and human rights abuses in that country.

I regard the matters raised by Senators Doyle and Finneran as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senators Ridge and Connor may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
