Vol. 158 No. 18

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator O'Meara that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to address the situation that has arisen whereby a six year old boy (details supplied), who suffers from cerebral palsy, has been unable to attend school since September 1998 due to the inability of the Department and the school in Seanross Abbey, Roscrea, to arrange transport.

I have also received notice from Senator Tom Hayes of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Agriculture and Food to explain the reason for the delay in setting up the long promised, new veterinary office in Tipperary town and to give a definite date for the opening of the office.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business.
