Vol. 164 No. 6

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Glynn that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to ensure that all the recommendations of the project team for completion of phase 2B of Longford-Westmeath General Hospital, Mullingar, proceed as agreed by the Midland Health Board.

I have also received notice from Senator Hayes of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to address the situation in Mohober national school, County Tipperary, which urgently needs the building of an extension, and to outline the progress of the application and confirm when the work will be undertaken.

I have also received notice from Senator Chambers of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to clarify the Government's position with regard to retaining the breast cancer screening services at Mayo General Hospital in Castlebar.

I have also received notice from Senator John Cregan of the following matter:

The need for the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment to grant an extension of time to personal assistants of people with physical and sensory disabilities, who are at present employed on community employment schemes.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senator Glynn's and Senator Hayes's matters and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senators Chambers and Cregan may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
