Vol. 164 No. 16

Business of Seanad.

I would like to propose an amendment to the Order of Business, to defer the sos in order to complete the Bill.

I oppose that proposal. It is quite extraordinary—

Hear, hear.

Does the Leader wish to defer the sos until this Bill is concluded?

The Leader has given no reason for doing this. It is quite extraordinary.

He has a good reason. He wants to complete the Bill.

Perhaps we could have order in the House.

The Leader has proposed an amendment to the Order of Business and I must put the question.

That is absurd. He has not said why he wants to table an amendment to the Order of Business.

The question is: "That the sos ordered to take place between 1.30 p.m. and 2.30 p.m. be deferred until the conclusion of this Bill."

I disagree with it.

May we ask the Leader why?

Amendment put.
