Vol. 174 No. 8

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator White that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to ensure that in the reform and reorganisation of the health services following the implementation of the Prospectus, Brennan and Hanly reports, there is a meaningful role for the democratically elected local public representatives in the governance of public hospitals and in primary, community and continuing care services.

I have also received notice from Senator Tuffy on the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to outline the up to date position regarding Scoil Charman, Wexford; when the school is going to proceed to the construction of its permanent buildings and when adequate ventilation is going to be installed in the temporary building in which it is currently accommodated.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business.
