I have received notice from Senator Henry that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:
The need for the Minister for Health and Children to outline the continued delay in the long-awaited report on the fortification of bread and flour in Ireland with folic acid.
I have also received notice from Senator Browne of the following matter:
The need for the Minister for Transport to outline if he has made inquiries with Ryanair regarding the recent flight that was directed to Prestwick due to a bomb scare.
I have also received notice from Senator McCarthy of the following matter:
The need for the Minister for Finance to furnish a report on the up-to-date progress of the much-promised and long-overdue refurbishment works at Dunmanway Garda station, County Cork, and to outline when the works will commence.
I have also received notice from Senator Ulick Burke of the following matter:
The need for the Minister for Education and Science to indicate when she will approve the finance for the extension to the Mercy College secondary school, Woodford, County Galway, which is grossly overcrowded.
I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected the matters raised by Senators Henry, Browne and McCarthy and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senator Ulick Burke may give notice on another day of the matter he wishes to raise.
