I have received notice from Senator Denis O'Donovan that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:
The need for the Minister for Finance to clarify the remedial works, if any, carried out in Skibbereen, County Cork to alleviate or eliminate further flooding.
I have also received notice from Senator Jerry Buttimer of the following matter:
The need for the Minister for Finance to make a statement on the need for a better flood warning system and the measures he has taken to improve early warning communication with residents and business people affected by flooding in Cork city.
I have also received notice from Senator Cecilia Keaveney of the following matter:
The need for the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources to outline the reasons for the decline in television coverage for non-RTE stations in east Donegal.
I regard the matters raised by Senators O'Donovan and Buttimer as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. I regret that I have had to rule out of order the matter raised by Senator Keaveney, as the Minister has no official responsibility in the matter.
