I have received notice from Senator Michael D'Arcy that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Skills to identify the primary schools that meet the DEIS status criteria for additional funding now but were not categorised as DEIS schools at the time the DEIS programme was established in 2005.

I have also received notice from Senator David Cullinane of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government to discuss Waterford's designation as a gateway city in the national spatial strategy and the steps which have been taken to ensure the outcomes set for Waterford as a gateway city under the strategy are attained.

I have also received notice from Senator Denis O'Donovan of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht to give an update on the position for the West Cork Arts Centre in Skibbereen and, in particular, to ensure local contractors will be allowed to tender for the construction of this unique facility for west Cork.

I have also received notice from Senator Deirdre Clune of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government to ensure the local authorities in the Cork region focus on completing unfinished housing estates, including developments with planning permission that have not commenced, prior to proceeding with the development of a new town at Monard.

I have also received notice from Kathryn Reilly of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation to discuss any intervention made by his Department in the liquidation of Flair International, Bailieborough, County Cavan and make sure the workers receive a fair deal; and to ensure the State's industrial relations agencies are active in trying to reach a solution to the difficulties that have arisen and every effort is being made to deal with the concerns of the employees.

I have also received notice from Senator Brian Ó Domhnaill of the following matter:

Ag lorg ar an Aire Oideachais agus Scileanna athbreathnú láithreach a dheanamh ar chás Pobal Scoil Gaoth Dobhair (Uimhir Rolla 91409A) agus go dtabharfaí aitheantas di mar Scoil DEIS arís agus lena chois gó ndeanfaí Scoláireachtaí ar leith a thairiscint do Scoiláirí Gaeltachta mar atá luaite go sonrach sa Straitéis 20 Bliain don Ghaeilge.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected the matters raised by Senators Michael D'Arcy, David Cullinane, Denis O'Donovan and Deirdre Clune and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. The other Senators may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
