I thank the Leas-Chathaoirleach for the speediness with which he led us through the 86 sections in the Bill. I congratulate the Minister of State for getting the Bill through as speedily as he did, particularly in this House. I understand it proceeded relatively speedily through the other House and we certainly have dealt with it very speedily last week and this week. It is 11 or 12 years since the legislation was supposed to have been introduced. We certainly are not responsible for delaying it now. I congratulate the Minister of State and his Department on getting it over the line. Well done to him.

I agree with what Senator Horkan has said. It is important to note that even though this is a very technical Bill and a lengthy one, it is important legislation. It is past time it was put through. I welcome its passing and congratulate the Minister of State on getting it through.

I thank Senators for their constructive contributions. Over the past two and a half years, we have had to clear off a large number of technical amendments that are nonetheless important and will affect people's real lives. We have a small number of provisions still to deal with but we will get there.
