I have received notice from the following Senators that they propose to raise the following matters:

Senator Robbie Gallagher - the need for the Minister for Transport to provide additional funding to progress the design and upgrade of the existing N2.

Senator Marie Sherlock - the need for the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth to make a statement on the establishment of the assessment of needs hub in community healthcare organisation, CH0, 9, including the staffing complement and the role of hub staff in performing the assessments.

Senator Martin Conway - the need for the Minister for Finance to review the current criteria for awarding primary medical certificates to people with physical disabilities.

Senator Seán Kyne - the need for the Minister for Education to make a statement on the need for additional secondary school places in the environs of Galway city from September 2024.

Senator Fiona O'Loughlin - the need for the Minister for Education to provide an update on her plans to resolve potential school place shortages in Newbridge and south Kildare for the academic year 2024-2025.

Senator Pauline O'Reilly - the need for the Minister for Environment, Climate and Communications to review the terms and conditions of community owned renewable energy projects approved under the renewable electricity support scheme 1, in particular the requirement to meet all milestones by 31 December 2023.

Senator Malcolm Byrne - the need for the Minister for Health to provide an update on the planned new ambulance base in Gorey, County Wexford.

Senator Tim Lombard - the need for the Minister for Education to make a statement on her plans to resolve the capacity issues at Clonakilty Community College.

Senator Erin McGreehan - the need for the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage to extend the domestic wastewater treatment systems grant scheme to all domestic homeowners with septic tanks to permit proactive upgrades or inspections.

The matters raised by the Senators are suitable for discussion. I have selected those raised by Senators Robbie Gallagher, Marie Sherlock, Martin Conway, Seán Kyne, Fiona O'Loughlin and Pauline O'Reilly and they will be taken now. The other Senators may give notice on another day of the matters that they wish to raise.
