I have received notice from the following Senators that they propose to raise the following matters:

Senator Niall Blaney - The need for the Minister for Transport to make a statement on the proposal by Transport Infrastructure Ireland to restrict lay-bys on motorways.Senator Micheál Carrigy - The need for the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage to make a statement on the provision of funding to Longford County Council under the voids programme.

Senator Erin McGreehan - The need for the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage to extend the domestic wastewater treatment systems grant scheme to all domestic homeowners with septic tanks to permit proactive upgrade and inspections.Senator Marie Sherlock - The need for the Minister for Education to make a statement on the timelines for the appointment of the design team for, and date of completion of, the new school building for Clonturk Community College, Whitehall, Dublin 9.Senator Lynn Boylan - The need for the Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications to make a statement on engagement with European colleagues on the exploitation of Palestinian natural resources under the memorandum of understanding between the EU, the State of Israel and the Arab Republic of Egypt signed last year.Senator Robbie Gallagher - The need for the Minister for Justice to make a statement on the need for a refuge centre for domestic abuse victims in the Cavan-Monaghan area.

The matters raised by the Senators are suitable for discussion. I have selected Senators Blaney, Carrigy, McGreehan and Sherlock and they will be taken now. The other Senators may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
