I move amendment No. 78:
In page 43, subsection (1), between lines 22 and 23, to insert the following:
"(c) under subsection 50(3)(b) to vary any condition imposed on such an approval, or".
Section 52(1) sets out various circumstances under which credit unions may seek to appeal to the High Court to review a decision of the Registrar on additional services. However, the existing three paragraphs (a) (b) and (c) omit to cover the situation where the Registrar decides to vary any condition imposed by him on an approval of additional services from section 50 (3) (b). The purpose of this amendment is to rectify that omission by including an additional paragraph allowing a credit union to appeal an unsatisfactory decision to the High Court. I recommend the amendment to the committee.
