I move amendment No. 84:
In page 46, subsection (1), line 17, to delete "union." and substitute "union or, in the case of a director appointed to fill a casual vacancy, after his appointment.".
As section 57(1) stands, it stipulates that a register of directors shall be kept by the secretary of the credit union and should be signed by all directors after each annual general meeting. However, it neglects to stipulate that the register should also apply to casual appointments made under section 54(3). This omission was pointed out to me by one credit union in its written submission to the Department.
