SECTION 26.
I move amendment No. 89:
In page 22, subsection (2), line 36, after "time" to insert ", for stated reasons,".
These amendments require the Minister, in removing the chairperson or ordinary member from office, to state his or her reasons. While there was no similar provision in the 1977 Act, it seems desirable, in the interests of justice and courtesy to those concerned, that the Minister should be required to provide his or her reasons for taking such actions.
