157 Mr. O’Dowd asked the Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs the proposals his Department has for the RAPID areas in Drogheda and Dundalk; and if he will extend the RAPID area to Ardee. [9370/04]
Amharc ar fhreagraTwo proposals from the Drogheda RAPID plan fall within the remit of my Department. These proposals are in respect of a community development project to provide information for older people in a number of locations in RAPID areas in Drogheda and a youth facility in Yellowbatter. None of the proposals included in the Dundalk RAPID plan come within the remit of my Department. I intend making an announcement regarding the disbursement of the RAPID funds in my Department's Estimates in the near future. There are no plans at present to amend the boundaries or to increase the number of areas under the RAPID programme.
