361 Mr. Crowe asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if there has been consistent vandalism at St. Killian’s junior and senior school in Kingswood, Tallaght, Dublin 24 (details supplied). [10891/04]
Amharc ar fhreagraI am informed by the Garda authorities that they have received one report of burglary and one of criminal damage to the school mentioned by the Deputy between 1 January and 14 February, 2004. I also understand from the Garda authorities that a number of complaints have been received about youths loitering in the vicinity of the school at weekends and in the evenings. Local gardaí have responded to these complaints and moved youths on when appropriate. I am assured that the area receives ongoing attention from mobile patrols and community gardaí on foot patrol and that local Garda management are satisfied that there are adequate resources deployed to deal with the problem mentioned by the Deputy.
