199 Ms McManus asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will extend entitlements to external placement allowance, travel allowance and uniform allowance, all granted to student nurses to student radiographers and physiotherapists; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12575/04]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe allowances referred to by the Deputy were made available to student nurses during their training following the introduction of the pre-registration nursing diploma programme and the removal of their salaried status. This situation does not pertain for physiotherapy and radiography students undertaking clinical training in the health service.
