177 Ms O’Sullivan asked the Minister for Education and Science if he plans to amend the Residential Institutions Redress Act 2002 in order to address issues raised by a person (details supplied) who is on hunger strike; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13194/04]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe case to which the Deputy refers proceeded through all stages of the redress process. The person's High Court case has been reactivated and will proceed solely on the basis of assessment of damages. I have no plans to amend the legislation and I am satisfied that the redress process is operating satisfactorily.
