163 Ms O. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will investigate the circumstances whereby a person (details supplied) in Dublin 16 had their medical card withdrawn; and if the medical card will be restored for this person. [14690/04]
Amharc ar fhreagraResponsibility for the provision of a medical card is, by legislation, a matter for the chief executive officer of the relevant health board-authority. My Department has therefore asked the chief executive of the Eastern Regional Health Authority to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply to her directly.
