369 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he will raise the limit of the District Court from its present level to €30,000; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15664/04]
Amharc ar fhreagraSections 13 and 14 of the Court and Court Officers Act 2002 provided for significant increases in the monetary and jurisdictional limits of the Circuit and District Courts. As the Deputy will be aware, the Personal Injuries Assessment Board, PIAB, has recently been established. I will consider the commencement of sections 13 and 14 when sufficient time has elapsed to consider the impact the board has had on the compensation regime.
