51 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Health and Children the steps he intends to take to include medical treatments on the national treatment purchase fund; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15420/04]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe majority of people waiting longest on hospital waiting lists for admission to hospital are waiting for a surgical procedure. The national treatment purchase fund was set up to identify those patients so they can be offered treatment in line with overall health strategy targets. The issue of including other categories of patients under the remit of the NTPF will be kept under review.
