70 Mr. Gormley asked the Minister for Health and Children when the new facility at the Meath Hospital will be fully operational; the number of general practitioners who will operate the facility; and if there will be a dispensing pharmacy at the facility. [15714/04]
Amharc ar fhreagraI am informed by the Eastern Regional Health Authority, which has responsibility for development of the Liberties primary care team, that the primary care centre is now completed. At present, public health nursing services, physiotherapy and occupational therapy for the enrolled population are being provided. The first practice of three general practitioners will move into the Liberties primary care unit on completion of the information technology transfer of patient files and this is expected to be concluded within days. The authority anticipates that the second practice, which also has three general practitioners, will be providing services from the unit in the coming months. The unit will not have a dispensing pharmacy.
