288 Mr. Curran asked the Minister for Education and Science the number of students enrolled in a college (details supplied) in Dublin 22 in September 2003; the number of teachers who were employed by the college on that date; and the number of teachers who were employed in roles as remedial or learning support teachers. Amharc ar fhreagraThe post-primary school operates under the auspices of County Dublin Vocational Educational Committee. The enrolment of the school on 30 September 2003 was 352 pupils.
My Department approves an annual teacher allocation for each VEC based on the number of schools and the enrolment in the schools on 30 September of the previous year. It is a matter for the VEC's chief executive officer to allocate teaching resources and arrange for appointment of teachers to its schools.
