Ceisteanna (311)

Fergus O'Dowd

Ceist:

311 Mr. O’Dowd asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will make a statement on a report in a newspaper (details supplied) stating that the paediatric unit of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital has been left dangerously understaffed due to the North Eastern Health Board having being unable to fill a number of positions. Responsibility for the provision of services at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, rests with the North Eastern Health Board. My Department has, therefore, asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply to him directly.
