120 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Education and Science the funding that will be made available to vocational education committees to provide child care services for the academic year 2004-05; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19444/04]
Amharc ar fhreagraMy Department provides funding to VECs to assist towards the child care expenses of participants in VTOS, youthreach and senior Traveller centre programmes. The financial provision for child care assistance for participants in these programmes for 2004, January — December, is €4.8 million. Child care funding for 2005 will be decided in light of the overall budget allocation for my Department in 2005.
