251 Mr. Stanton asked the Minister for Health and Children the amounts granted by way of enhanced subvention by the respective health boards in 2002, 2003 and to date in 2004 to nursing homes and other such agencies; the number currently receiving enhanced subvention in each health board area; the number of claims for enhanced subvention being processed in each health board area; the length of time it takes for such claims to be processed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As the Deputy will be aware, the administration of the nursing home subvention scheme is a matte for the Eastern Regional Health Authority and the health boards in the first instance. My Department has therefore requested the chief executive officers of the authority and the boards to investigate the matters raised by the Deputy and reply direct to him as a matter of urgency.
