403 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Education and Science if resource teacher support will be approved for a person (details supplied) in County Roscommon; the reason this support was not approved for the commencement of the school year 2004-05; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraAn application for special educational resources for the pupil referred to by the Deputy has been reviewed by my Department.
I wish to inform the Deputy that the application in question did not meet the criteria for resource teaching hours as per my Department's circulars. The application will be reconsidered if additional information on the pupil's special educational needs is received in my Department.
