199 Mr. Allen asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children the steps she proposes to take in a situation where the Irish committee on higher medical training has threatened to withdraw training recognition from the diabetes unit at Beaumont Hospital, Dublin in 2005 unless facilities and staffing there are improved. Services at Beaumont Hospital are provided under an arrangement with the Eastern Regional Health Authority and my Department has, therefore, asked the regional chief executive of the authority to examine this issue and to reply to the Deputy directly.
