132 Mr. McGuinness asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children if an assessment will be urgently arranged in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; if the matter can be expedited as requested in writing by this person’s general practitioner on two occasions; if this person can be treated under the treatment purchase fund; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Responsibility for the provision of services for residents of County Kilkenny is, in the first instance, a matter for the South Eastern Health Board. My Department has, therefore, asked the chief executive officer of the South Eastern Health Board to investigate the matter and reply to the Deputy directly.
