The Government is committed to supporting the welfare of Irish people in Britain by providing grants to a wide range of voluntary organisations engaged in assisting Irish people, in particular the more vulnerable and marginalised. Funding for emigrant welfare support in Britain, known as Díon funding, is allocated on the basis of recommendations from the Díon committee. The committee's role is to advise and report on emigrant welfare services, to make recommendations on the provision of financial assistance and to consider and make recommendations on specific questions at my request.

The organisation referred to by the Deputy might wish to consider submitting an application for Díon funding. Information on submitting such an application is available on my Department's website or by contacting the embassy in London.
