Amharc ar fhreagraSince 1997 this Government has provided additional revenue funding for child care services of €193 million over and above increases for pay costs and inflation. Additional funding of €5 million is being provided for child care services in 2005. This funding is principally targeted at developing services to further the implementation of the Children Act 2001, including family support services, family welfare conferences and providing additional resources for the special residential service board, the ombudsman for children and the social services inspectorate.
